Berikut artikel dari sobat kita sesama duelist, Gilang Aditya. Dia merupakan pemain veteran Yugioh yang juga bermain berbagai TCG lain seperti Magic the Gathering, Cardfight Vanguard, dan Weiss Schwarz. Berikut review singkatnya mengenai Archetype baru REDU, yaitu Heroic."

Hmm setelah melihat beberapa kartu dari ekspansi-ekspansi terbaru saya pun jadi tertarik melihat kartu-kartu Heroic. Memang sekilas saya lihat Heroic saat ini terlalu fokus di overpowering mush, kartu-kartunya sendiri bukanlah kartu yang memiliki engine cepat yang dapat mengimbangi Wind-Up maupun Rabbit, but yeah curiosity pretty much beat me... so, siapa saja yang tertarik dengan archetype ini? Anyway mari kita bahas sedikit kartunya dimulai dari boss cardnya.

Heroic Champion Excalibur

Warrior/Xyz/Effect/LIGHT/****/2000/2000
2 Level 4 Warrior-Type monsters
Once per turn: You can detach 2 Xyz Materials from this card; Until your opponent's End Phase, this card's ATK becomes double its original ATK.

Obviously a beatstick card... became a 4000 powerhouse monster untill your opponent turn is a huge advantage of course that is if you succeed on summoning it or if your opponent didn't destroy it... but yeah can't agree more if there some people who said that this card is pretty lame, karena memang untuk ukuran zaman sekarang di mana one for one card bertebaran, Excalibur cukup mudah untuk dihancurkan... andaikan dia machine mungkin deck iseng dengan Limiter Removal bisa dibuat :v

Heroic Challenger Double Lance

Warrior/Effect/EARTH/****/1700/900
When this card is Normal Summoned: You can Special Summon 1 "Heroic Challenger Double Lance" from your hand or Graveyard in face-up Defense Position. This card cannot be used as a Synchro Material Monster. This card cannot be used as Xyz Material, except for the Xyz Summon of a Warrior-Type monster.

Ini juga udah obvious gunanya untuk fast summon Excalibur, jadi pretty much ini kartu harus bawa 3 :v also dengan kartu ini kita juga bisa summon Utopia dan kartu-kartu Xyz warrior lainnya dengan mudah... oh also RotA pretty much help you on grabing this card from your deck... now if there's another card other than RotA that can pitch this card from your deck to your hand or graveyard...

Heroic Challenger Spartas

Warrior/Effect/EARTH/****/1600/1000
Once per turn, when your opponent's monster declares an attack: You can target 1 other "Heroic" monster you control; Until the End Phase, this card gains ATK equal to that monster's original ATK.

Another card that it's only purpose it's for beatstick :v bahkan lebih buruk karena effectnya itu di turn musuh... jadi IMO pretty bad sih kecuali ada cara buat bikin musuh udah pasti ngegebuk dia... ah now that i mention it, ada equiq yang bikin kartu yang diequiq harus diserang bukan? But still kartu itu tidak membuat kartu ini lebih baik....

Heroic Challenger War Hammer

Warrior/Effect/EARTH/******/2100/1300
When this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle and sends it to the Graveyard: You can equip the destroyed monster to this card. (You can only equip 1 monster at a time to this card with this effect.) This card gains ATK equal to the ATK of the monster equipped to it with this effect.

Dan dengan melihat kartu terakhir inilah saya benar-benar yakin kalau deck Heroic itu adalah deck beatdown... hmm overall sih kartu ini not bad karena bisa bikin key card lawan nyangkut di field... tapi jeleknya ini kartu harus ditribute summon, not to mention biasanya kartu-kartu kroco lawan di turn dia dipanggil udah ilang duluan entah buat Synchro atau buat Xyz :v but overall worth to try lah.

Heroic Chance

Spell Card
Target 1 "Heroic" monster you control; This turn, its ATK is doubled and it cannot attack your opponent directly. Only 1 "Heroic Chance" can be activated per turn.

The effect say it all... another attack power booster... sayang jadinya gak bisa direct, jadi gak bisa OTK pake Excalibur :v

Heroic Revenge Sword

Trap Card
Target 1 "Heroic" monster you control; equip this card to that target. Both players take all Battle Damage that you would have taken from a battle involving the equipped monster. After damage calculation, if the equipped monster battled another monster: Destroy the opponent's monster it battled.

Pretty creepy IMO karena effectnya yang share damage itu kayaknya bakal cukup sakit :s tapi ya siapa tahu ini kartu bisa jago kalau dimainin dengan tepat...

2. Any idea how to make this archetype stronger and not only focused on overpowering opponent?
